Mandatory is inked for data and payment standards

With last week’s release of the Superannuation and Data Payment standards by Treasury it was positive to see the Government’s commitment to SuperStream reforms inching closer to reality. The draft bill is concise, and it delegates authority to the ATO for regulation of the standards and outlines a penalty framework for all parties.

Like sand through the MySuper hourglass

We all know that the cliché “how time flies” is an inevitable truth as we get older. Weeks quickly become months, and then years, leaving each and every one of us with a dilemma. On the one hand you can recall recent events “like they were yesterday” but recounting details can be virtually impossible.

Even when I think back to what was going on the world 18 months ago,  I can easily reminisce about the World Cup activities in South Africa but please don’t ask me to provide any detailed statistics on teams or players.  It was also 18 months ago that the mining tax was first mentioned by the Government.
